Where do we find the Covid-19 vaccine?
A group of expert panelists, including Astra-Zeneca, a possible manufacturer
of the vaccine to combat Covid_19, they created a clock to show humanity where
we are currently.
This graph is very useful to understand the importance of the efforts that medicine is making for the benefit of all humanity. In this regard, Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath, president and CEO of Biotechnology Innovation Organization explained that “if we position ourselves in the month of June we would be at 4 in the morning; which means that at 12 noon we would have the vaccine which translates to February or April 2021 “.
In other words, taking into account that it takes 46 days for a person to have immunity, we are talking about a possible return to “normality” only for June 2021.
Therefore, without despair, let’s continue taking care of each other. Let’s try to stay at home and adapt to the new reality of the world that has changed. Let us take care of our loved ones and especially our grandparents and parents.
The “vaccine clock has been designed by the following international medical team:
Pamela Bjorkman, structural biologist at the California Institute of Technology
Dr. Florian Krammer, virologist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City
Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath, president and CEO of Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO)
Dr. Kelly Moore, associate director of immunization education, Immunization Action Coalition; former member of the CDC Advisory Committee on Vaccine Practices; chair, World Health Organization Immunization Practices Advisory Committee
Prakash Nagarkatti, immunologist, vice president for research, University of South Carolina
